STM Strategic Plan underway

Update on STM Strategic Plan 2017 – 2022 

I        Part-time priest to become full time 2018 – 2021

Bishop Lopes is considering an appointment for 2018 or 2019.  In the meantime, Fr. Hodgins along with the support of Oratorian and other priests will continue to offer Confession times and 12:30 Sunday Sung Mass  at St. Vincent de Paul Church as well as formation for those entering full communion.

II      Music Programme

  

         a)    SATB Parish Choir is to begin Sunday, September 10 with weekly Sunday   Sung Mass at 12:30 and Solemn High Mass on certain Sundays and other Solemnities. These liturgies will be broadcast with live-streaming on YouTube.

         b)     Organ upgrade in association with St. Vincent’s 

            A professional assessment of the organ is underway which will provide estimates by 2018 for the various stages of work needed. 

III     Wiring for Live Streaming of  Mass & Events

Wiring is complete and live streaming will commence in September thanks to the efforts of Joseph DeCaria and the generosity of a parishioner.

IV     Financial Commitment - Pledges over five years 

Currently we have over $ 90,000 in annual pledges for 2017 – 2018.  If these commitments are confirmed for five years we will have reached 70% of the financial goal when we ask the congregation in general to make five year pledges.

During September – October we will be asking all who attend STM to consider a five year pledge in conjunction with our commitment to the Ordinariate financial requirements (Cathedraticum, Bishop’s Appeal and Second Collections). 

V      Children’s Music Programme

Ongoing discussions with interested families and educators are underway.
