POCSP Chancery Blessing - What a wonderful day!

Cardinal Levada, Prefect Emeritus of the CDF, has helped to steer the Ordinariates from their inception. Today he offered two spiritually powerful homilies as members of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter (POCSP) gathered to celebrate the blessing and dedication of the astoundingly beautiful POCSP Chancery in Houston, Texas. 

At Our Lady of Walsingham, Houston, Cardinal Levada preached at both Solemn High Mass this morning and later at Solemn Evensong with Blessing of the Chancery on a mild day in February. 

Nearing his 80th year, the Cardinal turned our attention again and again to the Holy Spirit and the gifts of beauty and truth which the POCSP must focus on mission and the New Evangelization.

The weather, which was predicted to be rainy for the past two days, was mild and dry for the moving late afternoon procession through the cloisters which connect the Principal Church of Our Lady of Walsingham, Houston, to the new stone and marble Chancery. 

One engineer, amongst the hundreds who gathered today, said the Chancery was built to last 1000 years on the model of tenth century stone and marble buildings which have inspired the Ordinariate. The thousand year old English buildings are still functional today.
